VTCT (ITEC) Level 4 Certificate in Skin Needling is an advanced qualification that has been designed uniquely for those who are already level 3 qualified beauty practitioners. The Level 4 Microneedling course is suitable for those who have medical training and want to add advanced aesthetic procedures to their treatment offering. 

The Level 4 Skin Needling course will train students, in the national standards, to work as fully qualified skin needling therapist. This includes learning and understanding the safety concerns when providing skin needling treatments. Through the completion of the certificate, learners will refresh their knowledge of the relevant anatomy and physiology for level 4 aesthetic treatments.

As with any of our advanced aesthetic courses, students will;

• Study all health and safety considerations needed to perform skin needling treatments.
• How to successfully carry out client consultations – explaining the treatment, contraindications, possible reactions, carrying out patch testing, and the side effects.
• Post-treatment consultation will cover – the importance of sun protection after treatment along with a follow-up treatment plan. Students will perfect their customer service and client communication skills increasing their employability prospects.

To ensure that students on our Level 4 Skin Needling course are qualified to provide cosmetic skin peeling treatments, they complete both practical and theoretical learning. For the practical studies, they will carry out treatments on live models provided. This college will help students learn how to prepare the client safely and ethically. Determine that the working environment is ready and the equipment is sterile. Understand what the correct PPE is for aesthetic technicians and of course, the skin needling process. As part of learning to deliver skin needling treatments, learners will learn how to choose the correct needle size. Determine the length and strength of the client’s treatment and monitor their reaction.
